This is a practical opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creative production while supporting meaningful nonprofit work. Breakfast and lunch are provided. We have room for at least a dozen learners to attend. This is a one-day event - 7AM-Noon, however, students may stay afterwards if they want to observe a meetng of the VA-AAP Board.

The Student Fundraising Advisory Committee will help Trusted Care Foundation (TCF) design and carry out fundraising ideas to help grow our non-profit organization. Members will bring a student-informed lens to what motivates peers to give, how campaigns should function, and which formats will earn real participation. Working with TCF staff, students will brainstorm and help implement 1β2 student-focused fundraising initiatives per semester by supporting planning, outreach, peer engagement, partnerships, and promotion. Potential projects may include a student micro-giving or participation challenge, peer-to-peer/ambassador fundraising, a campus fundraising event (benefit night, trivia, tournament, 5K, talent show), co-hosted campaigns with student organizations, local business partnership nights, or student storytelling/social content that highlights impact.β¨ Weβre looking for undergraduates from any major who are collaborative, reliable, and excited to build something that resonates with students, no fundraising experience required. If youβre interested in community impact and enjoy outreach, event planning, social media/content, marketing/design, writing, or organizing people, youβll fit right in. In return, youβll gain real-world experience in fundraising and campaign planning, leadership and resume-building service, networking with nonprofit and campus partners, and the opportunity to shape how students support a mission that matters.
