This is an invitation to attend our annual fall symposium on immigrant health. It will be held at the Bus Boys and Poets on Monroe St. near Catholic University. Students can listen in as 75-80 doctors discuss the challenges and resources available to care for immigrant families. This is a 2.5 hour program and dinner is provided.

Description

Trusted Care Foundation is looking for motivated college students to help create, produce, and direct a short overview video that highlights our mission and impact. This is a practical opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creative production while supporting meaningful nonprofit work. While some background in video is a plus, no previous video editing skills are necessary—just creativity, teamwork, and a desire to learn. Key Responsibilities: *Collaborate with staff to understand and reflect the nonprofit’s mission in the video *Contribute to scriptwriting, storyboarding, and overall creative direction *Help organize and coordinate filming logistics (locations, schedules, and participants) *Support directing and producing with video participants *Provide creative input throughout the production process

Required Skills & Experience

*Current college student (all majors welcome; communications, film, marketing, journalism, and related fields a plus) *Strong communication and teamwork skills, ready to learn and receive feedback *Interest in storytelling and nonprofit work *Dependable, organized, and proactive *Creative thinker willing to contribute ideas and solutions

Description

This is an invite to our White Coat Day (General Assemly Day) where attending physicians and trainees learn about our advocacy issues and then go visit with members of the Virginia State delegation. Breakfast and lunch are provided. We have room for at least a dozen learners to attend. This is a one-day event - 7AM-Noon, however, students may stay afterwards if they want to observe a meetng of the VA-AAP Board.

Required Skills & Experience

Willingness to learn about child health issues and participate in visits to state legislators offices with other trainees and fulltime physicians. Students are not required to speak to the representatives and may only observe.
