Virginia Mental Health Access Program Stakeholder Meeting

At this event, students heard firsthand about the impact VMAP has had on mental health in Virginia from public officials and senior leaders within the program. The meeting aimed to gather feedback and foster collaboration with public officials and partner organizations involved in VMAP’s implementation, with the goal of improving access to mental healthcare for children and adolescents across the state. Attendees received updates from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, the Virginia Department of Health, and the Department of Health and Human Resources, as well as information on the program’s next steps.
